"Be ambassadors of Côte d'Ivoire", "Be leaders of tomorrow", "it is a treasure, yes a treasure that you have just received" "My joy is deep" "Gender is a structural issue for help development.
So said Minister Euphrasie YAO, special adviser to the Head of State HE Mr. Alassane Ouattara, in charge of gender and holder of the UNESCO chair “Water, Women and Decision-making Power”.
She made her remarks on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the French Institute in Plateau, during the graduation ceremony of the 5th promotion of Gender Engineering Experts Promotion "Yacouba Hien SIE", name of the Sponsor.
This graduation comes after nine months of training and now enhances the ability of these new experts to plan and implement public and private interventions that are coherent, inclusive and have a strong individual and collective impact.
They are a total of 58 new experts, from several sectors of activity. Among which, the Minister of Solidarity and the Fight against Poverty, Myss Belmonde DOGO.

In her speech, Minister Belmonde DOGO expressed her gratitude to her colleague, Minister, Euphrasie YAO for this initiative and to encourage her fellow students to be determined so that their leadership touches deep Côte d'Ivoire.
"Beautiful imagination" "Beautiful state of mind" "Beautiful initiative" "Beautiful ceremony", so many words, so many qualifiers, so many things that the Minister wanted to share, who will say, has returned from mission "the day before" in the deep Ivory Coast where she shared her expertise with women in rural areas on climate change.

This ceremony was sponsored by the Director General of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan Mr. Yacouba Hien SIE, prevented and represented by its Commercial, Marketing and Communication Director, Dr. Titi Palé, who on behalf of the latter will say all the merit of this program African by not failing to provide the wise advice of the godfather:
“The gender-based inequalities and discriminations that you undertake to eliminate are a way of promoting not only the development of women, but also of men and communities”.
"Value your expertise and form a solid and united network", advised Dr. Titi Palé, marketing and communication director of the port of Abidjan, indicating that with imagination and creativity, they will be able to capitalize on their expertise.
Gender engineering training, provided over a period of nine months, is sanctioned by a graduation ceremony. This program is delivered 80% online and is intended for those holding a license.

Mr. Omar Diop, head of the UNESCO Office in Abidjan, did not fail to recall that the UNESCO Chair emphasizes social justice.

He called for "addressing digital inequalities, geographical and gender inequalities, unequal power relations, gender-based violence, social isolation and inaccessibility to resources, inequality in the face of access to information and education”.
And to recall that the Unesco Chair "Water, women and decision-making power" was created on January 11, 2006.

To this end, the boss of UNESCO in Abidjan recalled that an agreement will then be signed between the General Secretariat of Unesco and the Ivorian Center for Economic and Social Research (CIRES), the host institution.
Launched in 2008, this “invented” program according to the holder of the UNESCO chair, Euphrasie Yao has been a great success.
