Announced a few weeks ago, the national roll-out or regionalization of the Compendium of Women's Skills of Côte d'Ivoire (COCOFCI) started with the Gbêkê Region under the coordination of the Minister Euphrasie KOUASSI YAO, Special Advisor of the President of the Republic in charge of gender and the supervision of the Vice-President Jeanne Peuhmond, Vice-President of the National Assembly.
During a week called "Compendium Week in Gbêkê", the Compendium Program and the National Deployment Sub-program were presented to the people of Gbêkê in its diversity during workshops and a solemn ceremony. .
The workshops successively brought together 288 women leaders from the Gbêkê Region, 123 administrative authorities and cadres, 183 youth leaders, 150 community leaders and religious guides and 102 village leaders, for a total of 846 participants. The participants in these workshops welcomed the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Alassane OUATTARA for initiating this innovative program which constitutes a major instrument of development and which gives particularly great hope to the people of the Gbêkê Region who want to mobilize around a development model based on excellence and the consolidation of social cohesion.
This enthusiasm around the national deployment was confirmed during the solemn ceremony which recorded nearly 10,000 people. This ceremony was an opportunity for the authorities and sons of the Gbêkê Region to reaffirm their commitment to the Compendium program, which is a real chance for the development of the regions of Côte d'Ivoire.
The next steps in the deployment process in the Gbêkê Region will be to install local women's identification committees that excel and document the identified good practices.
The pilot phase of the Compendium's National Deployment Subprogramme, which began with the Gbêkê Region, will continue in the Poro, Lagunes and Gontougou Regions.
Women of high level, young women graduates, women of all levels who excel in their sectors of activity.
